Coffee Morning With Dandy & Friends

Coffee Morning with Dandy & Friends is the first book in the series of Annabel’s adventures.

Annabel is an only child who lives with her mother and father. It’s the half term holiday and she’s feeling a bit sad and lonely. She wanders down the back garden to where it is rather overgrown and untidy. Suddenly, she hears a voice and is invited to join Dandy, a friendly and vibrant dandelion, along with his friends for coffee and cake. This magical chance meeting starts Annabel off on some wonderful adventures in which she meets some unusual and fascinating new friends.

This imaginative 80 page hardback book is printed in full colour and illustrated with Jan’s delicate drawings. The book not only features the first story in the series but also a cake recipe, botanical glossary and nature information section where readers will learn about real plants, flowers and animals.

Salad Days

This is Annabel’s second adventure. The first told how she met Dandy and discovered that she was able to communicate with plants and nature. Now she is on her summer holidays. Her grandfather has asked her to water the plants in his greenhouse for a couple of weeks while he is away on his own holiday.

As Annabel watered the salad crop in the very large greenhouse, the plants started singing to her. This was when Major Onion popped in and asked if she, together with her school friend Tim, would like to be guest judges at the annual ‘Festival of Song’.

The Fashion Show

This is Annabel’s third adventure. The first told how she met Dandy, a friendly and vibrant dandelion, and discovered that she was able to communicate with plants and nature.

Annabel is an only child and lives with her mother and father. She is in the middle of her summer holidays. Annabel is staying with her cousin Fiona who lives in a cottage within the grounds of a big estate, where Fiona’s father is the manager and her mother is the house keeper for the owners of the large Georgian house.

As Annabel and Fiona explore the grounds, walking through the rose garden, Rosa invites them to the forthcoming fashion show being held at the orangery.

Herb Delights

This is Annabel’s fourth adventure. The first told how she met Dandy, a friendly and cheerful dandelion, and discovered that she was able to communicate with plants and nature.

Annabel is an only child who lives with her mother and father. She is in the middle of her summer holidays from school. Her Aunt Mary has hurt her ankle and asks if Annabel would get some shopping for her. Annabel, invites her friend Sophie, who is blind, to visit her Aunt and experience her amazing herb garden with all the perfumes, textures and taste of the many herbs.
